Santander sealed an alliance with the insurance and reinsurance broker Gallagher Chile to extend the coverage offered to the companies in its portfolio, particularly its Corporate Banking and Large Companies clients.
The idea is to replicate the successful experience developed three years ago in Mexico between Interprotección (Gallagher in Mexico) and the Bank’s subsidiary, which has delivered solutions to numerous companies in that country. In particular, companies will be eligible for fire, guarantee and third-party liability insurance, amongst others.
“This is a very interesting alliance that allows us to support Banco Santander in delivering solutions to its clients in an area in which we have great experience, as we have the technical knowledge and we have very experienced claims and risk study areas,” explains Lionel Soffia, CEO of Gallagher for Chile.

This alliance allows us to expand the range of insurance options, so that they can conduct their business with the peace of mind that they are covered for a variety of situations. This alliance aims to offer solutions to numerous companies, which will enable them to carry out their operations with greater security, as their main risks will be covered. In addition, to ensure the success of the project, a team of executives, technicians and back-office staff has been set up.
