In the framework of the new “Retorno Seguro” (Safe Return) law, the government established a compulsory individual insurance scheme for private sector workers who work in person. The purpose of this policy is to finance or reimburse hospitalisation and rehabilitation expenses incurred by the worker in connection with Covid-19 disease.
The insurance also includes an indemnity of UF 180 in the event of the natural death of the insured during the period that the policy is in force.
According to the law, the employer is obliged to take out this insurance and provide a slip thereof to his employees. The insurance is valid for one year from the date it was engaged.For further information, please write to andres_fuenzalida@ajg.com
